Job summary

Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company in Greenfield, MO is seeking a Coater Operator to join our team. The role involves applying seed coating accurately, preparing and handling chemicals with proper safety gear, and maintaining precise records for QA and compliance.

You will collaborate with production to ensure seed quality and proper line routing, while thoroughly cleaning and preparing equipment between seed types.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seed coating is applied in correct amounts and seed is fully coated.
• Mix chemicals as needed using all required safety gear.
• Mix chemicals for other dump stations as needed using all safety gear.
• Mix Myco and Stimulate as needed.
• Keep accurate records of chemicals used.
• Verify paperwork is accurate before submission.
• Ensure bin sheets are clearly marked with seed type and status.
• Double-check holding bins and verify readiness for new seed.
• Track dust bin weight for calculating waste % and manage dust control bags.
