Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead projects for Federal and Public sector clients. You will work independently and as part of a team, applying sediment remediation expertise and regulatory knowledge to design solutions.

Travel up to 10% may be required. A Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience are expected, with strong communication and leadership skills to guide staff and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience leading engineers/scientists on sediment remediation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs.
• Lead teams on sediment sites and communicate strategies to clients.
• Understand regulatory steps (CERCLA, GLBA) and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients and outside consultants.
• Review and mentor staff to ensure technically sound deliverables.
