Job summary

FMOL Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a Security Training Specialist to assess training needs and oversee delivery of Security training programs across the system. You will develop strategies to achieve department goals, provide awareness initiatives, and report on training readiness and effectiveness.

Responsibilities include creating materials, coordinating with the security leadership team, and coaching staff to ensure policy and procedure compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of staff development, training, or teaching experience.
• 2+ years of experience in security/law enforcement required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to non-hospital properties to conduct risk assessments and provide threat management support.
• Purchases and issues approved equipment and uniforms for security officers.
• Delivers Security training materials and programs (classroom, self-study, computer-based, web-based).
• Interfaces with security leadership to identify training and education needs.
• Provides reports on training completion, readiness, and effectiveness; recommends curriculum improvements.
• Evaluates training needs to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures.
• Reviews Use of Force incidents for policy consistency; ensures staff competency.
• Provides administrative and logistical support for training programs and professional development.
• Coaches and assesses performance of field training staff; participates in hiring/onboarding of security personnel.
• Reviews and updates department policies and procedures.
