Job summary

Amentum in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Security Training Officer to plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver standardized training for security contractor personnel. You will ensure compliance with the PWS, DAF directives, and customer requirements, acting as the training expert on site.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of instructor or training management experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a TS clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of instructor, trainer, or training management experience.
• Previous military instructor, law enforcement instructor, or equivalent training experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top-Secret Security Clearance (TS) within 20 months from date of hire.
• Pass a polygraph test and all other security requirements.
• Must successfully complete all required medical evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage standardized training programs in accordance with the PWS, DAF directives, and procedures.
• Conduct new employee orientation, site familiarization, security indoctrination, and job qualification training.
• Develop lesson plans, training guides, checklists, and practical exercises.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and identify deficiencies.
• Maintain training records and annual training schedules.
• Prepare training reports and readiness metrics for leadership and customers.
• Ensure training documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Maintain certifications and track recurring training requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership and security personnel to align training with mission requirements.
