Job summary

University of Minnesota is seeking a Security Training and Fleet Logistics Manager to oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training for all uniformed personnel and to manage the campus security vehicle fleet. The role reports to the Assistant Director of University Security within the DPS.

The position emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource management, with the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus at least two years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience equal to six years in law enforcement, security, fleet management, or training.
• Ability to obtain instructor certifications for assigned curricula.
• Must maintain eligibility for access to law enforcement-sensitive information, including CJIS Data Access Terminals.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work evenings or weekends for training or fleet emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain training programs across uniformed personnel.
• Lead and conduct employee training, set up calendars, rosters, and logistics for 40+ full-time and 60+ part-time staff.
• Administer and coordinate fleet management including vehicle lifecycle, maintenance, and records.
