Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a qualified Trainer to design and deliver training programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and Allied Universal standards. The role includes CPR/First Aid/AED, Defensive Tactics, Mobility Devices, Fire Safety Services, and workplace violence/active shooter training.

The Trainer will collaborate with HR, Branch Managers, and Regional Training Manager to create branch-level programs and secure external training opportunities, ensuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in security, safety, or training field.
• Airport-specific experience (49 CFR Part 1542) preferred.
• Experience in learning program development and classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical training programs at branch level to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory mandated training.
• Identify and coordinate external training opportunities with local academies.
• Communicate with Regional Training Manager, Field operations, Security Professionals, Supervisors, and Clients.
• Deliver field training programs in line with laws, regulations, and Allied Universal standards.
• Conduct CPR/First Aid/AED training.
• Conduct Defensive Tactics training (handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms).
• Conduct Mobility Devices training (vehicles, bicycles, Segways).
• Conduct field training for Security Professionals and Supervisors.
• Deliver Fire Safety Services training and evacuation drills.
• Lead Certified Security Professional program training for staff.
• Work on special projects to support the region.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Trainer. The Trainer is responsible for conducting training activities in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standards. This Security Trainer will train CPR/First Aid/AED, Defensive Tactics (e.g., handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms), Mobility Devices (e.g., vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway), Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations; and evacuation drills), and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training.

Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with operational partners (Human Resource Coordinators/Branch Managers) to develop practical training programs at the branch level, in order to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory mandated training
• Identify, conduct vetting, and establish relationships with local training academies in order to provide support in the form of external training opportunities
• Communicate with stakeholders (Regional Training Manager, Field operations, Security Professionals, Supervisors, Field and Corporate Training, and Clients)
• Deliver field training programs in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standards
• Conduct CPR/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
• Conduct Defensive Tactics (e.g., handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms) training
• Conduct Mobility Devices (e.g., vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway) training
• Conduct field training for Security Professionals and Supervisors
• Deliver Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens, and staff presentations; and evacuation drills), and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training
• Conduct leadership training such as the Certified Security Professional program to Security Professionals and Supervisors
• Conduct special projects on an as-needed basis to support the region

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in security, safety, or training field
• A minimum of one (1) year airport-specific experience at a 49 CFR Part 1542 regulated airport or as approved by the State Contract Administrator.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional-level experience in learning program development and classroom instruction
• Able to work independently with little to no direct supervision
• Ability to write manuals, review, and respond to written requests for proposals, training documents, and prepare extensive presentations is required
• Highly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to deliver specific training programs in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standards, such as CPR/First Aid/AED, Defensive Tactics (e.g. handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms), Mobility Devices (e.g. vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway), Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations, and evacuation drills), provide other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
• Ability to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in strictest confidence
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college education or business classes
• Prior experience in the fire service, security industry, law enforcement and/or military
• Experience in security operations or other functions of security industry
