Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Security Technician for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Atlanta, GA. The role covers routine and emergency service calls, troubleshooting and repairing intrusion, CCTV, access control and alarm systems, and coaching junior technicians.

The candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or vocational training, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
• Three (3) or more years of experience.
• Mastery knowledge of trouble shooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access control systems.
• Working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes.
• Mastery knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters.
• Valid drivers license and ability to clear a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency service calls.
• Troubleshoots, replaces, and/or repairs malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
• Proctor, coach, and teach others.
• Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
• Provides customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
• Performs system testing and signal verification.
• Maintains truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
• Organizes and utilizes technical resources to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
• Ensures progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Documents service hours worked.
• Completes task-related activities and documentation in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
