Job summary

Basesix Systems in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Security Technician to install, program, commission, troubleshoot and maintain commercial security systems. You will lead projects with Project Managers, customers, and technicians to ensure safety, accuracy, and adherence to specs.

You will install access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, configure platforms, read drawings, test and diagnose issues, lead start-up and customer demos, and travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with commercial access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems.
• Experience programming and commissioning security systems required.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience leading installations and supporting junior technicians preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

The Senior Security Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial security systems. This role serves as a technical leader in the field, supporting Project Managers, customers, and technicians while ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Skills & Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders and elevated work surfaces.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and use of power tools.
• Ability to work in both new construction and occupied building environments.
• Ability to travel regularly to customer and project sites
