Job summary

Gateway Church is seeking a Safety Operations Lead to own the church’s safety systems and emergency readiness. You will oversee access control, cameras, alarms, dispatch systems, and mass notification across campuses, and you will manage the Gateway Security Operations Center.

You will develop and maintain Safety Services policies and emergency response plans, coordinate drills, analyze incident data, and partner with IT and facilities teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with 5+ years in security or emergency management.
• Must have Level IV Texas Private Security License or able to obtain upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in emergency management or security systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns Gateway’s safety technology and systems (access control, cameras, alarms, dispatch systems, mass notification).
• Administers system configuration, user access, credentialing, and permissions across campuses.
• Maintains and troubleshoots safety systems; coordinates upgrades with vendors.
• Develops and maintains Safety Services policies and emergency response plans.
• Maintains incident data, analyzes trends, and prepares audit reports.
• Partners with IT on alignment between teams; with Facilities on access and security in new spaces.
• Maintains system documentation and equipment inventory; supports training alignment.
• Serves in PPO and plain clothes security roles; rotates on-call hours outside scheduled hours.
• Supports weekend services and church-wide events; performs other duties.
