Job summary

Gateway Church seeks a Safety Operations Lead to own safety technology across campuses and manage emergency readiness. You will oversee access control, cameras, alarms, dispatch, and mass notification, while developing policies and drills to improve response.

The role includes on-call shifts and participation in weekend services and events. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in security systems or emergency management, plus a Level IV Texas Private Security License or the ability to obtain it upon

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of access control, surveillance, alarm, and mass notification systems.
• Experience with emergency management planning, drills, and after-action reviews.
• Ability to analyze incident data and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Owns safety technology and systems from implementation to operation across campuses.
• Administers system configuration, user access, credentialing, and permissions.
• Maintains and troubleshoots safety systems; coordinates vendor repairs and upgrades.
• Develops and maintains Safety Services policies and emergency response plans.
• Maintains incident data, analyzes trends, and prepares audit reports.
• Partners with IT and Property Management for alignment and access control.
• Supports training alignment with emergency plans.
• Acts in PPO/Plain Clothes roles as needed and participates in on-call rotation.
