Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks a Security Team Specialist I for Taunton State Hospital on a 32-hour split shift. The role will patrol the campus, enforce DMH regulations and coordinate with local/state agencies to maintain safety.

The position requires the ability to work Sundays/Mondays 11am–7pm and Fridays/Saturdays 1pm–9pm, with Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays as days off. A valid MA Class D license and CPR/AED/First Aid credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of full-time or equivalent security experience safeguarding buildings, equipment or individuals.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications may be required as per department policy.
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Class D Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities and grounds to ensure safety and security.
• Issue access control items and monitor electronic security systems.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Document investigations, inspections and incidents with accuracy.
• Transport clients/patients per DMH policies and procedures.
• Maintain security logs and incident reports.
