Job summary

Quality Low Voltage Systems, based in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Security Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV systems in commercial and residential settings. You will work independently and as part of a team, mentor junior installers, and provide excellent customer service, progress reports, and on-call coverage after hours.

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety codes, lifting up to 75 pounds, and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; tech training in electronics or security systems preferred.
• 2+ years installing and servicing security systems.
• Certifications such as CCure 9000, Genetec, Lenel, Brivo, Eagle Eye are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure security systems, run cables, mount devices and connect components.
• Lead projects from start to finish and provide updates to FM/Lead Tech.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions, address wiring and system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and test system components to ensure performance.
• Provide customer training and support on operation of security systems.
• Stay up-to-date with security technologies and maintain organized workspace.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service.
