Job summary

Silco Fire & Security seeks a seasoned Security Systems Service Technician to diagnose, install, program, inspect, and service video, access control, intrusion, and related devices. You will troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and provide exceptional customer support on a growing portfolio of security solutions.

Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining systems per manufacturer specs, interpreting schematics, and documenting work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing, installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure security systems including video cameras, access control panels, intrusion detection sensors, gates and other electronic security devices.
• Program and customize security systems, including user permissions, alarm thresholds, and notification preferences.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections on security systems for optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Assist customers with system upgrades, expansions and enhancements, including integrating with third‑party systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to customers, responding to service calls and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
