Job summary

Datawatch Systems is hiring for an entry-level security installer role in the greater DC area. You will gain hands-on training in electronic security, installation techniques, and CCTV basics, with classroom instruction and mentored fieldwork.

Pay ranges from $25 to $32 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits and paid time off. Opportunities for growth exist within a pioneer in managed access control solutions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligible to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
• Reliable transportation to work sites in DC/MD/VA.
• Willing to pass pre-employment screening including background, motor vehicle check, and drug screening.
• Must obtain MD electronic security license including FBI fingerprinting.
• Reliable and punctual with strong attendance history.

Responsibilities

• Learn proper installation techniques and building, fire, and life safety codes.
• Learn to read floor plans and electrical drawings.
• Develop strong communication and customer service skills.
• Gain knowledge of access control and CCTV fundamentals.
• Work in environments ranging from offices to active construction sites.
