Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Service Technician in Anchorage. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems across commercial, industrial, government, and corrections sites.

You will work independently on routine tasks and collaborate on complex projects, mentor junior technicians, and join a union (IBEW). Union membership is required or maintained as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of field operations experience with troubleshooting.
• Ability to legally operate a company vehicle.
• Proficiency with access control, video surveillance and alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair security systems in various environments.
• Record time and materials accurately; submit daily time entries.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections of systems.
• Educate users on operation and maintenance of products and systems.
• Assist in developing quotes for small projects or upgrades.
• On-call work as needed; communicate with customers effectively.
