Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Service Technician in Juneau, AK.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems in commercial environments, working independently on routine tasks and with project teams on complex assignments. This is a unionized role requiring IBEW membership; you will mentor junior technicians and ensure systems operate reliably.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of field operations experience, including troubleshooting.
• Ability to legally operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems.
• Document completed work and submit time entries daily.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Educate system users on operation and maintenance of products and systems.
• Assist in developing quotes for small projects or upgrades.
• On-call work may be required.
