Job summary

Biztec LLC is seeking a Senior Technician to lead installations on commercial physical security projects, with a focus on access control and low-voltage cabling, ensuring work is coded, on schedule, and of the highest quality.

As the senior technician on site, you will install and commission systems, mentor junior installers, troubleshoot complex issues, and serve as the technical point person for the crew. This role requires 3-5 years of experience and the appropriate licensing.

Qualifications

• Active license in Alarm, ELE (Electrical), or Low Voltage.
• 3-5 years of experience installing physical security and low-voltage systems.
• Advanced understanding of access control systems and low-voltage cable runs.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and riser diagrams.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and test equipment.
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifts, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, and commissioning of access control, video surveillance, intrusion/alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Plan and execute low-voltage cable runs to NEC standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, riser diagrams.
• Terminate, test, and commission systems; diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior installers.
• Coordinate with the project manager on schedule, materials, and scope.
• Represent Biztec professionally on site.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, company vehicle, and inventory.
