SciensBuilding Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician in the United States, Maryland area. You will program, commission, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems, collaborating with sales and project teams to ensure sound designs and seamless installations.

The role requires 2–5 years in a technician role in building security systems, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in a technician role within building security systems.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range security systems.
• Intermediate computer knowledge for installation and programming.
• Ability to read security design drawings.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for successful project execution.
• Install, program, and commission access control, CCTV, and voice/data systems via laptop computers.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Program, commission, and obtain final acceptance by customers and engineering forms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Assist in oversight of project and vehicle inventory.
• Provide support and guidance to other technicians.
