Job summary

HCI Systems Inc. seeks a Security Service Technician to inspect, test, service and repair Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Systems in medium and large commercial buildings. You will respond to service calls, perform installations, diagnose issues and ensure systems operate to specification.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
• Excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and scheduled service calls requiring installation, programming or repair to Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Systems.
• Test all systems and equipment after repairs to ensure performance.
• Perform maintenance service calls at customer sites.
• Install, diagnose and repair/replace wiring, devices and both analog and digital control panels for security, access control, and CCTV systems.
• Maintain and repair CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion system components, including circuit cards, power supplies, software, copper and fiber optic systems platforms.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
• Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
