Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Bloomington, MN seeks a skilled Security Systems Technician to install, service and test electronic security systems for residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

You will wire alarm, CCTV, and access control devices, test systems, and ensure compliance with fire and electrical codes. Valid driver’s license, background check, and ability to travel are required; comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and willing to undergo background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain required licenses/certifications to work in security per state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED required for all positions.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including calculations (percentages, area, volume).
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe alarm installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Test installed systems and verify functionality per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for voltage, resistance, and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain system operation to customers and demonstrate usage.
• Complete paperwork and submit daily to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers, and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
