Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work on-site with our commercial customers, setting up and programming integrated security fire and security systems. The role involves dismantling and reconstructing equipment as needed and coordinating with customers and safety protocols.

Candidate should have 4+ years in electrical/electronic equipment and be proficient reading blueprints, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and a fleet vehicle.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer.
• Works safely to avoid injuries, damage, and debris; verifies schedules with customers.
• Prepares estimates per supervisor instructions and follows wiring diagrams.
• Tests system operation and coordinates with the monitoring center.
• Reads building blueprints; coordinates with police/fire departments for notifications.
• May lead installation teams on larger projects and mentor junior installers.
