Job summary

COASTAL PROTECTION INC is seeking a Security Installation & Service Technician APPRENTICE to join our team. As an apprentice, you will travel to various locations and job sites with an experienced technician and learn to install or repair security systems based on customer specifications and location restrictions.

The ideal candidate has experience with technology or similar electronic products, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and an analytical way of thinking.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate the use of hand tools such as power drills, cutters, etc.
• Able to climb ladders and lift at least 40 lbs.
• Previous experience in the security industry is not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and listening skills and be a team player.
• Must have reliable transportation and a clean MVR.
• Background check will be performed before hiring.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various locations and learn on the job daily.
• Assist in troubleshooting problems in security systems and perform repairs or replacements.
• Assist in installing new security systems, including electronic locks, thermostats, alarms, CCTVs, and more.
• Help to maintain equipment and restock vehicles and supplies as needed.
• Help to maintain accurate logs of work completed at all times through our software.
• Rotate phone call emergency tech support with other security technicians (averages 1 week every month).
