Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Salisbury, MD is hiring a Security Technician to install, service, test, and commission security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV. You will read blueprints and install components to project specs while ensuring safety and code compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma, 1+ years in fire and life safety, and a valid driver's license. You will travel to job sites, document work orders, and coordinate with customers and team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver's license with clean record if driving role.
• Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
• Install components according to project specs.
• Test functionality and ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and correct installation issues promptly.
• Document work orders and project reports accurately.
