Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring a Lead Security Technician to install, test, and commission intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems. You will read blueprints and layouts, mount components, and ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in fire and life safety, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently, travel to sites, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver's license with clean record if driving role.
• Knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
• Manufacturer certifications in security or access control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
• Install components, wiring, and hardware per project specs.
• Verify system functionality and compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and perform corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete installation documentation and project reports on time.
• Communicate progress to customers, team, and supervisors.
• Follow safety procedures and job site requirements.
• Travel to job sites as required.
