Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is hiring an Engineer 2 for its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic security services—intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, video, and IT systems—for federal, local and commercial customers. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and help develop installation playbooks while travelling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 2+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity with SE services for physical security systems and IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage system requirements to ensure security solutions meet standards.
• Review technical submittals (Product Data, O&M, Warranty) before client delivery; collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field techs.
• Support lifecycle of large-scale construction projects as an on-site project engineer.
• Coordinate Bluebeam sessions for redlining drawings and keep documents up to date.
• Participate in coordination calls to ensure proper communication and delivery.
• Attend coordination calls with contractors to coordinate dependencies on security drawings and installation.
• Track revisions, RFIs, submittals, and BOMs throughout project lifecycle.
• Lead design review sessions and client calls; develop design standards and playbooks.
• Assist with pre-assembly and pre-installation testing and checkout of security equipment.
