Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Tech Specialist 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

The role focuses on designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial clients, including intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, and video systems. You will survey sites, support network design, perform testing and commissioning, and collaborate with senior engineers to ensure SLA-compliant performance.

Qualifications

• Clearance/Citizen requirements including eligibility for access to classified information and Top-Secret clearance possibility.
• High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience in electronic security system installation/testing or an Associate with 6+ years of experience.
• Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Survey field sites and coordinate with client to complete design engineering for communication systems.
• Monitor network performance and provide troubleshooting and support as needed.
• Assist in the design process of new networks and maintain network designs for each SLA.
• Prepare test reports and commission deployed systems; develop test fixtures and simulation devices.
• Perform hardware/software upgrades and replacements; document procedures and troubleshooting steps.
