Job summary

Diversified is hiring a Sales Engineer to join the Project Engineering ESS team in Northern Kentucky. You will support client design projects from sales concept through design development and construction administration, collaborating with architects, engineers, and vendors to deliver secure, integrated electronic security solutions.

You will conceptualize designs, prepare BOMs, review drawings, and communicate complex requirements clearly to clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years' experience in system design.
• Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and provide concise messages.
• Solid problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to complex engagements with clients and Design Engineering to develop specs, budgets, timelines and manage expectations.
• Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements.
• Guide security system architecture, installation and planning.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and MS Office 365 for design and documentation.
• Oversee BOM development and supporting documentation.
• Interpret 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC drawings during takeoff and reviews.
• Lead review calls with internal and external teams on BOMs and docs.
• Utilize pricing tools and adjust for changing requirements.
• Understand IFPs, RFP, RFQ requirements and labor calculations.
• Research and produce security product submittals.
• Learn ESS programming matrices and apply them to projects.
• Research technology options and present to clients.
• May interact with clients and contribute to P&L performance.
