Job summary

Securitas Technology is seeking an Applications Engineer in Indiana to formulate engineered estimates for fire and security projects. You will prepare budgets, perform take-offs and collaborate with sales, project management and vendors to secure competitive pricing.

The role requires 5+ years of estimating experience in low voltage systems, strong knowledge of NFPA/NEC codes, and the ability to read detailed drawings.

Qualifications

• 5 years of estimating experience in fire alarm and/or security/low voltage field.
• Familiar with NFPA and NEC codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scope docs.
• Experience with major manufacturers such as Silent Knight, Firelite, Bosch and others.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication.
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level III or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications and scope documents for fire/security projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials and equipment.
• Conduct take-offs and identify value-engineering alternatives.
• Collaborate with vendors/subcontractors for pricing.
• Develop bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Partner with sales and project management for smooth handoffs.
• Maintain an up-to-date pricing database.
• Keep current with industry codes and technology changes.
