Job summary

Securitas Technology, a world-leading provider of integrated security solutions, is seeking an Applications Engineer in New Jersey. You will formulate engineered estimates and budgets for diverse client projects, collaborating with consultants, engineers, construction managers and in-house sales teams.

You will analyze blueprints and scope documents, prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment, and develop bid proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in the fire alarm or security/low voltage field.
• Bachelor's or advanced engineering degree; substitutions allowed.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA and NEC; ability to read construction drawings.
• Experience with major manufacturers (e.g., Silent Knight, Firelite, Bosch, Hanwha, Avigilon, Axis, Genetec, Lenel).
• NICET Certification- Fire Alarm Systems Level III or higher preferred.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs and scope documents for fire and security projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials and equipment.
• Develop bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing.
• Support RFP/RFQ/RFM&S processes and project handoffs.
