Responsibilities

• Assists with employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and counseling sessions.
• Conducts shift briefings with officers; stays informed of inmate and operation changes.
• Performs routine and non-routine security checks; conducts counts; investigates inmate complaints.
• Instructs and counsels inmates as required; monitors inmate movement; performs subordinates' duties as needed.
• Completes eight weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
