Job Summary
The Security Supervisor coordinates security activities on assigned shifts and supervises Security team members. The role ensures a safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate performance of supervisory personnel and provide coaching.
- Act as a role model, exemplifying company values and service standards.
- Enforce attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Supervise all Security and field activities to protect company and guest assets and ensure safety.
- Perform roams or post duties to observe suspect activity or underage gambling.
- Coordinate suspect activity with management and conduct investigations as required.
- Train and coordinate Security personnel to comply with policies and provide a safe environment.
- Assist Security shift leader with scheduling, alarm monitoring, and reporting disorders on casino and hotel premises.
- Ensure posts in zones are properly manned; provide reliefs when necessary.
- Communicate service breakdowns and team plans, and facilitate service improvements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and grooming that reflects the Security Department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
- Minimum 21 years of age to work in a casino.
- High school diploma, GED or college level training required.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Law enforcement or casino security experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication; proficient in English.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and follow investigative procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible schedule.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance and obtain a Louisiana Gaming License.
- Physical capabilities: stand, walk, run, lift up to 25 lbs, bend, kneel, twist, and navigate casino areas.
