Job summary

Caesars Entertainment, Horseshoe Lake Charles (On-site) is seeking a Security Officer to protect company assets and provide a safe environment for employees and guests. This role involves direct guest interaction, escorts for customers, and collaboration with civil and law enforcement during investigations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years of age, English proficiency, and the ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written.
  • Must have valid identification.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must undergo eight (8) hours of ASP (baton) training.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prefer individual with two years police, military, or casino security experience
  • Prior experience in a position with direct guest contact is preferred.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • Must be able to prepare effective written reports.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat more than 115 degrees, or cold as low as 10 degrees.
  • Must be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists.
  • Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations and be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to stop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to see and, also, remember the specific details of incidents and people. You must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Must pass the physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within the first ninety days of employment.
  • Must re-certify, between years 2 and 3, through the Western Division Security Academy.

  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests and fellow employees.
  • Gives directions and provides escorts to customers in need.
  • Aids civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
  • Makes chip fills, jackpot verifications.
  • Regularly provides escorts of money and people in money-handling positions. Provides first aid, including CPR when necessary.
  • Patrols all sections of property to identify safety hazards and breaks in security. Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
  • Makes lost and found detailed descriptions of people and incidents.
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
