North Star Mohican Casino Resort is seeking a Security Supervisor in the Gaming Division. The role supervises a shift of 12-20 security officers, maintaining attendance records and performance while ensuring premier customer service.

Officers wear the approved uniform and follow established procedures. The position requires Wisconsin licensing, background checks, and the ability to work all shifts, with differential shifts and weekend premiums as noted.

Position : Security Supervisor Hourly: $24.50/Hour/Negotiable Location : Gaming Division Reports to : Security Manager

(Shift differential: 2nd shift +$1.00/hour, 3rd shift +$2.00/hour and weekends +$3.00/hour)

RESUME IS REQUIRED

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the standards of customer service are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
• Responsible for supervising a shift of 12-20 security officers and maintaining staff attendance and performance records.
• Must wear the approved, departmental uniform.
• Coordinate the handling of established emergency procedures and assist all emergency personnel when and if necessary or if instructed to do so by on-site personnel. Nothing in this job description shall be viewed as creating a job duty to provide emergency medical services.
• Responsible for making rational decisions that may fall outside the scope of the operational manual and assume full responsibility for the decisions.
• Must always maintain a direct line of communication between yourself, your shift and the Security Manager.
• Ensure the radio incident logs are maintained during the shift.
• Mediate disputes among departmental employees, ensuring a smooth work relationship with departmental supervisors.
• Monitor shift to ensure compliance with the established rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the department and the casino resort.
• Responsible for the care of security equipment; file a report for any damage to equipment.
• Make sure that all doorways and offices not in use are kept secured.
• Adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Security Department.
• Adhere to the Casino's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
• Maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos, or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.

Qualifications & Education :

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• North Star Mohican Casino Resort is looking for a courteous and friendly individual.
• Must have at least two (2) years' working supervisory experience related to security, enforcement or public safety preferred.
• Must possess above average verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to translate incidents into written form for the purpose of departmental reports.
• Must possess strong observation skills with the ability to remember details.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
• Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
• Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
• Must be flexible with schedule to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
• Must have a positive attitude and provide a teamwork structure within the department.
• Must be willing to enhance self-development and be willing to adapt to change.
• Must be willing to attend all applicable training.
• Must have demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory working record in any prior and/or current employment.
• Must be eligible for insurance under the employer's liability insurance.
• Must obtain a Wisconsin Driver's license within 30 days of employment if the applicant has an out-of-state driver's license.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Conditions:

• Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity). Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Constant walking and standing which may include kneeling, crouching, and bending.
• Ability to respond to all incident calls, as directed, on the property, with complete mobility and in a timely manner.
• Frequent climbing of stairs, lifting and/or moving up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (inside/outside of facility) for required security rounds/duties.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus, with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts, if needed.
• The work environment is smoke-free, but dust and noise level vary depending on working assignment and location.
