Job summary

North Star Mohican Casino Resort is seeking a Facility Engineer for the third shift to perform preventive maintenance across buildings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related systems. You will report to the Facility Manager and must submit a resume with the application.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and a journeyman apprenticeship in relevant trades, plus at least two years of commercial trades experience; must pass background checks and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman apprenticeship in millwright, construction, electrical, plumbing, electronics, HVAC or commercial building maintenance preferred.
• Minimum two years of commercial trades experience.
• Above average carpentry, finishing, and general construction skills.
• Ability to work independently and from written directions.
• Reading assembly instructions and architectural/shop drawings.
• Proficiency with relevant tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and teamwork mentality.
• Must have valid Wisconsin driver's license and be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services on property structures, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, furnishings and more.
• Repair swimming pools, saunas, whirlpools, stage equipment and convention hall equipment.
• Maintain environmental controls including air exchange filters, smoke eater filters and air ducts.
• Replace light bulbs and water filters as needed.
• Document maintenance information in departmental records.
• Make recommendations for improvements to the Facilities Manager.
• Work independently and complete tasks within schedule.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Adhere to dress code and policies.
• Comply with Casino's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
• Stay updated on regulations affecting maintenance operations.

Position: Facility Engineer-Full-Time Third ShiftSalary: $18.92/Hour, Negotiable, plus shift and weekend differential, if applicable. Location: Resort DivisionReports to: Facility Manager

RESUME IS REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION

In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services on property structures, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, furnishings and more.
• Conduct routine repairs and maintenance on swimming pools, saunas, whirlpools, stage equipment and convention hall equipment.
• Maintain environmental controls including air exchange filters, smoke eater filters and air ducts.
• Replace light bulbs and water filters as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections and document any damage or defects found.
• Enter maintenance information accurately into departmental records.
• Make recommendations for improvements to the Facilities Manager.
• Work independently and complete tasks within specified timeframes.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
• Adhere to dress code and organizational policies and regulations.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements/ Work Conditions

• Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, handle tools and communicate effectively.
• Must have the manual dexterity for handling tools, including measuring tools.
• Must be able tolift and/or move up to sixty (50) pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions and heights
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus; with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts, if needed.
• Workenvironment requires excellent personal hygiene,due to workingnearothers.
• The work environment is non-smoking and dust-free; and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.
