Job summary

Titan Security is seeking a Part-Time Security Lieutenant for an industrial site in Burns Harbor, Indiana. You will oversee gates, dock and patrol officers, and may fill in for the Site Manager or open Shift Security Captain positions.

Qualifications include a degree in Criminal Justice or related field and 2+ years of supervisor/industrial security experience, with MARSEC preferred. Benefits include insurance and 401(k) match; compensation starts at $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience and industrial security experience.
• MARSEC and industrial facility security experience preferred; CPP OSHA-10 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details.
• Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Fill in for the Site Manager or open Shift Security Captain positions.
• Trained to cover any position under supervision.
• Provide vehicle inspection information and summaries.
• Document departmental vehicle and general inventories.
• Review traffic enforcement and ticket summaries.
• Summarize patrol activities.
• Audit building inspections and security systems; report impairments.
• Outline safety concerns and training activity summaries.
• Report gate paperwork discrepancies and KPI reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Titan Security is currently hiring a Part-Time Security Lieutenant to work at an Industrial location in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Responsibilities

include but are no limited to:

• Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details.
• Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Fill in for the Site Manager (in their absence) or open Shift Security Captain positions.
• Trained to cover any position under their supervision.
• Provide detailed information on vehicle inspections
• Document departmental pre-operational vehicle checks
• Provide both departmental vehicle inventories and general departmental inventories.
• Review traffic enforcement, specifically including a summary of written tickets.
• Provide a summary of patrol activities.
• Conduct and report on an audit of building inspections.
• Provide a summary of active security systems and any equipment impairments.
• Outline a summary of safety concerns.
• Document a summary of training activities alongside a drill summary.
• Report a summary of gate paperwork discrepancies.
• Provide a summary of generated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Benefits:

Education and/or Experience:

Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Minimum of 2 of Supervisor Experience and Industrial Security experience. Previous MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience preferred.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Certifications:

CPP certification (ASIS), OSHA-10.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
