Job summary

Titan Security is hiring a Security Captain to work at an Industrial location in Burns Harbor, Indiana. The role involves supervising gates, officers, and details, developing training curricula, and ensuring audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field; or equivalent experience/education.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial security setting.
• MARSEC and industrial facility security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details.
• Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Fill in for the Site Manager in their absence or open Shift Security Captain positions.
• Trained to cover any position under their supervision.
• Provide detailed information on vehicle inspections.
• Document departmental pre-operational vehicle checks.
• Provide inventory summaries for departmental and general assets.
• Review traffic enforcement and summarize tickets.
• Provide a summary of patrol activities.
• Audit building inspections and report findings.
• Summarize active security systems and equipment impairments.
• Outline safety concerns and training activities with drill summaries.
• Report gate paperwork discrepancies and KPI reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Provide both departmental vehicle inventories and general departmental inventories.
• Review traffic enforcement, specifically including a summary of written tickets.
• Provide a summary of patrol activities.
• Conduct and report on an audit of building inspections.
• Provide a summary of active security systems and any equipment impairments.
• Outline a summary of safety concerns.
• Document a summary of training activities alongside a drill summary.
• Report a summary of gate paperwork discrepancies.
• Provide a summary of generated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Benefits:

Education and/or Experience:

Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Minimum of 2 of Supervisor Experience and Industrial Security experience. Previous MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience preferred.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Certifications:

CPP certification (ASIS), OSHA-10.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.

Salary & Benefits:
