Job summary

Titan Security Group is hiring a Security Lieutenant for an industrial location in Burns Harbor, Indiana. The role will oversee gates, patrols, and details, with duties spanning training, auditing, and site operations. A degree in criminal justice or related field is preferred, with supervisor and industrial security experience strongly valued.

Compensation starts at $19.00 per hour plus paid vacation, insurance options, holidays, and a 401(k) match. EOE M/F/D/V

Qualifications

• Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience/education considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of Supervisor Experience.
• Industrial Security experience preferred.
• MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers and special details.
• Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Fill in for the Site Manager or open Shift Security Captain positions.
• Provide detailed information on vehicle inspections and inventories.
• Review traffic enforcement, including a summary of written tickets.
• Report a summary of patrol activities and KPI reports.
• Conduct and report on audits of building inspections and safety concerns.

Titan Security is currently hiring a Security Lieutenant to work at an Industrial location in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Responsibilities

Include but are no limited to:

• Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details.
• Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Fill in for the Site Manager (in their absence) or open Shift Security Captain positions.
• Trained to cover any position under their supervision.
• Provide detailed information on vehicle inspections
• Provide both departmental vehicle inventories and general departmental inventories.
• Review traffic enforcement, specifically including a summary of written tickets.
• Provide a summary of patrol activities.
• Conduct and report on an audit of building inspections.
• Provide a summary of active security systems and any equipment impairments.
• Outline a summary of safety concerns.
• Document a summary of training activities alongside a drill summary.
• Report a summary of gate paperwork discrepancies.
• Provide a summary of generated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Benefits

Education and/or Experience

Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Minimum of 2 of Supervisor Experience and Industrial Security experience. Previous MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience preferred.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Certifications

CPP certification (ASIS), OSHA-10.

Physical Demands

The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
