Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for residents, guests, and colleagues. You will patrol buildings and grounds, inspect access points, respond to alarms, and document incidents ensuring a secure community.

Role requires 18+ years old, HS diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. The position includes after-hours escorts and support for safety compliance with a focus on resident protection and risk management.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
• Age 18+.
• 2+ years related security experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas.
• Assist with emergency response procedures.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
• Secure and unlock areas per policy.
