Job summary

Target Security Specialist position in Illinois requires strong guest service and physical security skills. You will support team members, maintain safe store operations, and assist guests with inquiries while enforcing AP policies.

The role involves de-escalation, incident documentation, and theft-prevention duties in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma, and can work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards store-wide.
• Respond to security incidents promptly and document them accurately in case systems.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
