Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests and assets in our store. You will greet guests, maintain a safe environment, and support teammates while following AP policies.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma, and willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. You will use scanners and video systems, document incidents, and participate in theft prevention under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure and/or legal requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically active store environment.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting them.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
• Prevent theft and shortage by performing receipt checks and recognizing trends.
• Submit documentation in the case management system following AP policy.
• Use Target's video surveillance system effectively.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance at all times.
• Work safely and report hazards; perform all other duties as needed.
