Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members, and assets while maintaining a welcoming store environment. You will use security systems, assist with crisis situations, and support theft prevention efforts.

Expect a fast-paced, physically active role requiring teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication. Training is provided to help you succeed in safeguarding the store and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting them.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest interaction with a sincere thank you and maintain a positive attitude.
• Promote a safe, secure store environment and document incidents promptly in the case management system.
• Conduct merchandise security and loss-prevention activities in line with AP policy.
