Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Gulf Shores, AL. The role focuses on guest safety, loss prevention, and incident documentation using case management systems.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, crisis response, and collaboration with store leadership and public safety officials. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience and greet guests at 10 ft and 4 ft.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Maintain safety and security standards across store and exterior property.
• Respond to and document security incidents promptly.
• Use de-escalation tactics and Target's video surveillance system.
• Submit case documentation following AP policy in the system.
• Support theft prevention and merchandise recovery as needed.
