Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Security Specialist/AFSO in Colorado Springs, CO to manage and implement security programs for classified operations.

The role requires upgrading to TS/SCI eligibility, experience in industrial security, and coordination with government safety agencies. The position involves training, policy enforcement, COMSEC duties, and liaison with internal teams and external partners to ensure strict compliance with NISPOM and DoD directives.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Security Professional.
• Associate degree; related experience considered in lieu of degree.
• CDSE FSO program management certificate.
• Strong knowledge of NISPOM and national security directives.
• Experience with DISS, SWFT and NISS.
• Capable of physical security checks and lifting large packages.
• Ability to interpret company and government security policies.
• Strong communication and training abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and security databases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the FSO to establish and operate a compliant security program.
• Administer day-to-day security operations for the CO Springs facility and locations.
• Provide initial security training and briefings for staff.
• Track SEAD-3 requirements including pre/post foreign travel.
• Support physical security: badging, access control, alarms, and responses.
• Coordinate classified meetings with hosts and admin teams.
• Maintain personnel security records in DISS, SWFT, and eAPP.
• Interface with program managers and government security officers.
• Assist in DD Form 254s and security classification paperwork.
• Be COMSEC Account Manager and train personnel on procedures.
• Lead responsible handling of classified material and shipping.
• Investigate security incidents and escalate appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
