Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members, and assets in a fast-paced store environment. You will monitor activities, respond to incidents, and support AP leadership by documenting actions and escalating issues as needed.

The role focuses on preventing theft, conducting merchandise protection activities, and training staff on security best practices while maintaining a safe, welcoming store experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work front-of-store and on-site security duties.
• Familiarity with incident documentation and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests and team members to support store safety.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing AP standards.
• Respond to incidents and document actions taken.
• Utilize escalation tools to address guest issues effectively.
• Conduct merchandise protection actions and support investigations as needed.
• Perform receipt checks to prevent theft and shrinkage.
• Operate the video surveillance system to monitor activity.
• Train team members on merchandise protection and shortage focus areas.
• Model safe work practices and ensure a clean store for guests and staff.
• Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
