Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members and assets in a fast-paced store environment. You will de-escalate situations, monitor store security, and document incidents to ensure a safe shopping experience for all.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, assisting with needs, and performing loss prevention duties while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Effective communication skills
• Work both independently and with a team
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet guests at 10ft, 4ft, and end every guest interaction with a sincere thank you.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner using case management systems.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed, adhering to AP policies.
