Job summary

Target Security Specialist role based in Modesto, CA, involves protecting guests, team members, and assets while delivering a friendly shopping experience. You will monitor safety, respond to incidents, and support loss prevention efforts across the store.

The position requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training is provided to develop security acumen and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft with a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards throughout the store.
