Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist in Florida to protect guests, team members and store assets while upholding a welcoming shopping environment. You will engage with guests, respond to incidents and document cases using Target's case management system, with focus on de-escalation and safety.

The role requires physical activity, flexible shifts, and the ability to work in varying temperatures. Training will cover security procedures and proper use of surveillance systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests at the front of store.
• Promote a physical security culture for team members and guests by maintaining safe and secure standards.
• Respond to and accurately document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Appropriately respond to guest issues to provide a safe and secure environment.
• Use de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
• Submit documentation in the case management system following AP policy and procedures.
