Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members, and brand value. You will support crisis responses, theft prevention, and incident documentation using Target's surveillance tools, while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

The role requires physical stamina for a fast-paced, multi-shift schedule including nights and weekends, with teamwork and exemplary guest service as core. Training provided and compliance expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and welcoming guest experience by following standard procedures.
• Greet guests and assist with finding products or resolving issues.
• Assist team members to ensure smooth operations during high-traffic times.
• Provide support in security incidents with documentation and reporting.
• Maintain situational awareness and follow AP policies at all times.
