Job summary

Target in Richland, WA is seeking a Security Specialist to support guest safety, prevent loss, and uphold store operations. This role includes hands-on training, teamwork, and opportunities to grow within Assets Protection.

You'll monitor activities, de-escalate incidents, and document cases using our case management system, while upholding Target's safety standards and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.
• Greet guests and help them find what they need.
• Resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Address security incidents and document them promptly.
• Prevent theft and merchandise shortage at the front of store.
• Submit documentation in the case management system following AP policy.
• Operate Target's video surveillance system and maintain safety standards.
