Job summary

Target is hiring a Target Security Specialist at the Edgewater store. You will help keep guests and team members safe while supporting loss prevention efforts. You will use de-escalation and observation skills to manage incidents and protect merchandise.

The role requires physical stamina, flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays), and the ability to operate security equipment and documentation systems. Training is provided to develop security expertise.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and ability to de-escalate situations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Ability to operate security equipment and document incidents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and team members, provide assistance, and resolve issues quickly.
• Respond to security incidents, document them in case management systems and preserve safety.
• Support theft prevention, perform checks, and communicate trends to leadership.
• Operate video surveillance and other security tools as directed.
• Maintain a safe store environment and promote a culture of ethical conduct.
